How is that even relevant? Just because US companies can't get their ***** together with respect to privacy, the rest of the world has to deal with Apple's crappy business policies that are supposedly there for consumer protection but which seem far more geared towards boosting their own profits.

The oil embargo was caused by the invasion of Japan to Indochina.....
actually the embargo was a belated response to the japanese invasion of china in 1937 (Shanghai 250,00 chinese killed, Nanking with another 250,00 chinese killed), japan's attack on the soviets in 1938, japan's alliances with nazi germany (the anti-comintern pact in 1936 as an example), the start of WW2 in europe, etc

Just because businesses wants your email doesn't equate to they'll sell your details...

That is NOT a reason to assume they do sell information. Probably marketing reasons.
Apple wants people to give personal information ( address, phone number etc ) to sign up for the various *free* developer programs ( i.e., Safari Developer ).. that isn't an indication that Apple are going to sell your information... However, according to your response.. Apple will sell this information... ( which of course, they will not ).

This is really funny. Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I'm the infamous seller! :) How are you guys. It's funny that most people here are laughing about the stupidity of others like myself.
But anyway, this is in no way illegal. I would know, being a student of law. In addition, eBay AND PayPal have sided with me on this matter MULTIPLE times. The only time PayPal sided with the buyer was when they claimed they never got it and I had no shipping proof. The item is accurately described, end of story. Stop crying about it and be more responsible.
Just an ending note, I've made over $2,000 doing this before and used it to buy two amazing Les Pauls. ;)

I also use Roboform on my PC, but it looks like they have gone to a subscription only system - for PC's as well as iPads. I'm planning to stay with Roboform for the PC (but not update to the subscription version), and use something else for the iPad (still haven't decided what).

I borrowed a faster Mac, and used that to install to its HDD, I think it mayve had more RAM, then dumped the HD in my trusty eMac and let it boot. It wouldnt boot on 64MB though... I tried that xD

Here I am, refusing to buy any of the iTMS movies until the DRM is more like the music Fairplay (Either give me DVD video burning or cut the price in half!) and the Mediots at Universal, etc. are wanting to restrict things MORE? LOL.
Cold day in Hell till they get any of my $$$ ...
HDCP/HDMI, Broadcast flag, tighter restrictions on iTMS movie downloads? Heh, they really don't want my $$$ that badly, do they?

Not when there are plenty of people who don't know/don't care about such restrictions. You may refuse to do business with the studios due to their draconian rights management, but all the higher end services are covered with them. The result is you're one of the lowest spending consumers on the entertainment industry's radar.
The sad fact is, you don't want to play ball and they could care less when you're in the minority.
Do you ever wonder why you cable company doesn't offer any special limited time rates on basic cable service?
