    Otherwise its pretty good but I don't know what its for exactly so im going
    assume its some sort of comunity thing. The silhouette of people seems to be pretty trendy right now (ipod, coke, etc). Without knowing what its for thats really all I can say.

    Which state you are working in? If USCIS thinks Nebraska Service centre has the jurisdication for your I-485 based on Job location then their is nothing to worry.

    Maybe your PD is current and USCIS wants to complete processing of your I-485.

    I am in the same situation, my I-140 was approved from TSC about 3 months back in March 2008, and I-485 pending at NSC since august 2007. I work out of WA state.

    Thanks, both of you. I got it yesterday, did a few test shots in a creek by my home and took a bunch of pics in the Black River this morning. In a fast riffle, there were some streaks from bubbles, but that didn't detract from the shot (subject was a smallmouth bass close up). In fact, I think it added the sense of current flow.
    The Black is a very clear river, but it is not like the ocean. Looks like the closer the subject the better. I'm also learning how to process these images. I've been shooting for about 40 years, but this is a whole other world, and I'm on a learning curve. It's cool, though.

    I got a labor substitution and filed for my I-140 and I-485 concurrently. Today was the last day to send the documents and some paperwork was missing for my wife! I missed sending the package!

    Now how should i proceed?? My wife is on H1-B currently. Any ideas??

    My priority date is 25 jan 05 - eb2.

    Dear fellow IVians/ Lawers.....

    Please help me

    I am on my H1B 6th Year Ending and my H1B valid till 2012 Sep 30 with my Current employer company A Which is a desi consultancy company.

    I have a approved I140 with company A. With PD of March 2008. I 140approved in OCT2008
    Cargability - India
    I485 - Not yet filed:o
    ----------------------------------------------------------
    on March 1st company A announced that they will be merging with company B.

    Company B Sent us an E-mail saying that they are acquiring resource group of company A.

    :confused::confused:

    When we questioned our old employer company A, they told us that yes company A will remain in existence but all human resources will move to company B :mad: All other assets and liabilities will stay with company A.

    I am in lots of confusion...and questions...heap of troubles it seems...
    Please tell me

    1. This Situation can be called/categorized as Aquisition/Merger?
    2. Will my I140 quilified for Successor of Interest if company B is ready to take over and sponcer GC for me?
    3. Or do I need to go thru the whole process of ADS, PERM, I140 path to come to current state?
    4. What happens if my PDate (Old, and assuming that in either case I can port my PD??) is current before company B's I 140 got approved? Can I file I 485 based on my company A I140 As company A still exists???
    Are there any complications involved in this?

    5. I am assuming that I am qualified to entitile 3 Year H1B visa with company B based on my company A approved I 140. am I correct?

    6. What happens if company A is going for bankruptcy before my H1B transfer?

    7. What happens if company A is going for bankruptcy before my I140 approved with company B and port I140 PD?

    8. also I heard that Company A may required to pay some amount to the employees(20K ??)? Any idea on this?

    If you have worked on a H1B that was from the quota and you have
    never left the US for more than 1 year since then.. then you can
    transfer your university H1B to company H1B (without waiting for Oct1)
    I have comfirmed this with one lawyer for my situation.

    Currently my wife is on H4

    I'm planning to file H1 for my wife (through another employer on April 1st, 2009). Regardless of the situation (H1B Cap lottery process or general process) if my wife's H1B petition is accepted, processed and approved (generally betwen April 15th 2009 and May 31st 2009), she will get work permit (with start date of Oct 1st, 2009) by May or mid June, 2009.

    My company is also planning to file for my H1 Extension (along with H4 Extension) in April (cannot be filed it seems due to other cases) So, in this scenario if my H1 extension (along with my wife's H4 extension) is filed after April 1st 2009, then we will have an overlap situation (as USCIS will be receiving two petitions (one for H1 and one for H4) for my wife) in the same timeframe. How will USCIS deal with these scenarios?

    As long as her H4 is approved before her H1 (if she gets through lottery and approval process), there won't be a problem (as H1 will be replacing her H4 to my understanding).

    But if her H4 is approved after her H1B approval, then there is a risk that her H1B will be cancelled because of H4 approval.

    Please let me know solution to this problem. Thanks in Advance

    Hi folks,

    Could someone please point me to a Marriage Certificate Translation service9s)?

    It's in Marathi and has photos, legal fee stamps and seals on it and I would like to retain the look as much as possible.

    I kinda searched this website, but the search engine doesn't take you to a specific post in a thread. Instead it just brings up all threads that contain a post with the search keyword. After navigating through a few pages with no luck, I gave up and hence the (potentially redundant) question!

    With another opportunity for Adjustment of Status around the corner, I want to get this asap.

    I'll not stop my employer ( company 'A' ) to file H4 extension for her cause if her H1 thru company 'B' is not approved, my wife will be out of status...

    Based on you reply,

    all I can do is to request my employer to file H4 extn ASAP to avoid overlap with H1 filing...

    If it cannot be done,

    then I should pray that her H4 extension gets approved first......

    I am wondering if anybody had done this before: I want to work part time (20 hrs/week) for 6 months( and no other job). I am on H1 but I also have EAD. So I am wondering if there are any implications to this such as I need to amend my H1b , because of some obscure law my GC process will be affected. Any input is appreciated.

    I had a friend in the same situation. Had H1 and EAD. He worked halftime for two years to finish his MBA. Now went back to fulltime H1. I think your company has to approve it and yes he filed ammendment.
